About Us (The BraBall® Story)
"I first conceived the idea for the BraBall® bra saver while hand washing my own bras. I couldn't machine wash my brassieres because the bra cups would get lumpy, bunch up, dent and wrinkle. The underwires would bend, break, or poke through the bra fabric. The straps would lose their elasticity and I would have to throw them out and buy new ones. The chore of hand washing, however, was very time-consuming and impractical. Hand washed bras can't be wrung out thoroughly enough, thus water drips from wherever they're hung, causing unsightly water deposits, slippery floors and more unnecessary cleanup. I thought to myself, "There's got to be an easier way to wash expensive bras!" I went to a local craft store and purchased some wire sheets and tape to make the first prototype. With the help of engineer Jack Lander, now my partner, the first fully testable prototype was made. Countless tests were done and many improvements were made to arrive at the final design. Four years have passed and over one thousand tests later, our product is fully perfected! We patented our device (Patent # 6,742,683), trademarked the name BraBall®, and even tradedressed our bright blue color. In 2004, we established Phantastic Innovations Inc. to manufacture and distribute the BraBall® bra saver. We are thrilled to be able to finally share our revolutionary BraBall® laundry device with every woman out there who's ready to stop wasting time, energy and money and stop ruining bras in the washing machine."
